Santa in the City returns in person as well as numerous other festive holiday events.

Believe it or not, the most wonderful time of the year is just around the corner. And, you’re in for a holly, jolly treat as we roll out the holiday calendar at Prudential Center. A series of festive in-person events will remind you of why this is the happiest season of all. Strolling, shopping, sipping, and more — we’ve got so many celebratory experiences for you to explore!

31 Nights of Light

For the 14th consecutive year, Prudential Center will be celebrating local non-profit organizations through 31 Nights of Light. This is one of Boston’s favorite traditions — every night in December, we light the tower in a different color representing 28 non-profits and 3 holidays. Some organizations will opt to ceremoniously turn on the large symbolic switch within the Center, which is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the work that they do in the community. For a full list of this year’s lightings, check our event page here. Don’t forget to share your photos of the tower lit in its nightly color and tag us @pruboston with the hashtag #31NightsofLight.

Santa in the City

Capture the magic of the holiday season by bringing the kids to see Santa in his favorite Back Bay living room. We are thrilled to welcome the man in red back in person this year, every weekend from Black Friday to Christmas. This year we are also hosting special sensory-friendly (12/14 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.) and pet photo (12/8 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.) opportunities to meet Santa. Make sure your little ones bring their wish lists so he knows exactly what to bring them this year. You’ll leave with a souvenir photo and a whole lot of holiday spirit!

When: November 25 – December 24 

Fridays 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Saturdays 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Sundays 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Special events: Santa Pet Photos, December 8 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.; Sensory-Friendly Santa Photos, December 14 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Holiday Stroll   

The best way to kick off your holiday shopping? Our Holiday Stroll on Saturday, December 10, of course! Participating stores and eateries get into the spirit with exclusive discounts and promotions. Visit the holiday-themed sip stations to celebrate the season with a bit of bubbly. Musical entertainment will be hosted throughout the Center including electric violinist Vivian Luo and a holiday a cappella quartet by Songful Artists.  

Guests will be encouraged to stroll throughout the Pru stopping in at participating stores and restaurants to pick up some holiday gifts and have their event map stamped. Those who receive stamps from all listed locations will be entered to win a grand prize: a Prudential Center prize pack, valued at $1,000.

Carolers and Cocoa 

Like Santa to his sleigh or a gift under a tree, caroling and cocoa are a match made in holiday heaven! Join us for this unbeatable combination every Friday afternoon in December. It’s a fantastic way to get in holiday spirit with a cup of hot cocoa. Strolling the Center will be professional New York City and Boston-based singers the Songful Artists, who will perform a full repertoire of winter and holiday songs.

When: Fridays in December from 4 – 6 p.m.

Where: Boylston Entrance

Pru & Seek

You had so much fun playing Pru & Seek, our holiday scavenger hunt, last season, we’re bringing it back for a second year in a row. Every Monday, starting November 28, we’ll hide four winter-activity stickers around the Center. Find them all, take a selfie with each one, and DM us @pruboston on Instagram with the photos. One winner will be chosen each Sunday to win $200 worth of Prudential Center gift cards. We’ll move the stickers every Monday to new locations, so you can play every week for a chance to win.

When: Monday, November 28 – Sunday, January 1

Where: You’ll have to find them!

How: Find all 4 winter activity stickers hidden in the Center. Snap a photo of each, send a DM to @pruboston on Instagram, and one entry from the week will win $200 worth of Prudential Center gift cards on Sunday.

Giving Tree for Women’s Lunch Place

Brighten the holidays of those who need it most. This season the Holiday Giving Tree benefits Women’s Lunch Place, a Boston-based daytime shelter and advocacy center that provides healthy meals, essentials, and one-on-one assistance to women experiencing homelessness, hunger and poverty. Stop by our Giving Tree near the concierge desk (across from Club Monaco) to participate.

New Shops

When you visit us this season, make sure you stop by to visit the new retailers opening this fall. Last month, OAK + FORT officially opened a permanent location just off Center Court after a wildly successful pop-up shop earlier this year. The modern lifestyle brand is dedicated to creating and curating thoughtfully designed apparel and objects. And coming this month (November) is  Allbirds, the viral shoemaker using natural materials to create some of the most comfortable shoes around. You’ll also be able to stop later this month Shake Shack for a post-shopping pick-me-up shake and burger. We’re feeling particularly blessed to welcome these newcomers to the Prudential Center family this holiday season!
