Dim the lights. Feel the rhythm. Rev the RPMs. Emerge drenched, exhilarated, and recharged.
To experience all of the above, head straight to The Handle Bar, now open at the Prudential Center! After a celebratory opening Labor Day weekend — chock-full of free rides and discounted class packages — this indoor cycling studio has officially joined The Pru lineup.
Proudly female-owned and -operated, The Handle Bar has made commitment to mental and physical wellness its central mission. And it has turned out to be a winning concept. With the new Back Bay cycling studio, The Handle Bar counts five locations across the city.
Have you been? You may soon leave a review like this happy Google critic:
“My home away from home! This is the best place to spin in Boston. Love the community and instructors! Regardless what studio you visit you will always experience so much energy, love and have an amazing workout… They care about their riders and have a focus on mental health and well being. Truly a great environment.”
That’s just what Jess, the founder and CEO of The Handle Bar, wants to hear. It took only a few months in the startup fitness industry for her to catch the entrepreneurial bug shortly after graduating from Northeastern University in 2010. She saw the potential in cycling long before many others did. Three years later, she was a spin instructor with her own cycling studio in South Boston. In 2014 and 2015, The Handle Bar grew again, this time with back-to-back openings in Fenway and Harvard Square.
These days, the company also has a philanthropic arm, Handle With Care, dedicated to raising awareness about mental health and battling the stigma associated with mental illness. And, this past weekend, Jess reached another milestone as the doors opened to The Handle Bar at the Pru.
At The Handle Bar’s brand-new Back Bay cycling studio, you enter, ready to work your heart out, and walk out transformed. The Handle Bar’s music-driven, low-lit classes create a special atmosphere that has riders raving: “Absolutely incredible experience here. Highly recommend.”
Try, for example, Cycle, the studio’s signature class that incorporates movement and a weighted bar to engage the whole body for an intense ride. Or, go for Move, another total-body workout that combines high-intensity plyometric movement with slow-burning kettlebell strength work.
We are thrilled to welcome The Handle Bar to the Prudential Center. Let’s ride!
