The holidays are built upon tradition, and this one has become a Boston favorite. During the month of December, Prudential Center puts a literal spotlight on participating nonprofit organizations through 31 Nights of Light — a custom that’s been shining for 14 consecutive years.
Each night, the top of Prudential Center is lit a different color in support of that night’s partner. Inside we’ve staged a large symbolic switch, which organizations can opt to flip, providing additional awareness and a chance to celebrate their hard work. By the time New Year’s Eve arrives, you will have seen the tower light up 31 times in celebration of 28 local nonprofits and 3 holidays. This year, we are recognizing the following organizations:
Heading Home is one of Boston’s leading providers of emergency shelter, transitional, and permanent housing for extremely low-income families and individuals currently or formerly experiencing homelessness.
Beats By Girlz is empowering the next generation of women and gender-expansive people through music and technology by giving them access to the tools, resources, education, and community support necessary to foster growth.
The Boston Bruins Foundation is a nonprofit that collaborates with charitable organizations that demonstrate a commitment to health and wellness, education, and athletics.
Cancer can steal childhood – One Mission helps children get it back through programs and activities that foster friendship, fun, and positive distractions from treatment. Whether it’s putting on holiday celebrations, providing art and music therapy, or paying for expensive hospital parking, they make life brighter for children and their families from the moment of diagnosis through treatment and beyond.

Rescuing Leftover Cuisine is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit food rescue organization, operating across the United States and headquartered in New York City, that redistributes excess food to people experiencing food insecurity.
New England Donor Services coordinates organ and tissue donation in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and the eastern counties of Vermont and Bermuda. Through its federally designated organ procurement organization, New England Organ Bank (NEOB), and its centralized tissue donation services operation, NEDS serves thousands of donor families each year who have generously made the decision to donate and honors the wishes of those who registered as donors and gave the gift of life.

For nearly 50 years RESPOND has provided life-saving shelter, support services, and training and education to more than 100,000 members of the community. The Victim’s Right Canter provides free, comprehensive legal services for sexual assault victims with civil legal issues in Massachusetts and Oregon. Attorneys harness their knowledge from representing survivors to train professionals nationwide to improve the response to sexual violence.
Room to Grow supports parents and caregivers as they activate their natural strengths and expand their knowledge, so children thrive from the start. Families in our program develop strategies to promote their children’s development, select baby and toddler items for their children, and connect with other local organizations and community resources that can expand their support network.
