As October approaches, we can’t help but get gourd up for one of the most anticipated events of the year: PruBoo! The 29th annual Halloween festival will take place on Sunday, October 29th from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Prudential Center. Activities are free and open to all. It’s bound to be a spook-tacular event that the whole family will love — no bones about it ☠️☠️☠️
This year, proceeds from PruBoo will support our nonprofit partner FARE, Food Allergy Research & Education, and its Halloween-inclusive initiative, the Teal Pumpkin Project. With one in 13 children living with food allergies, FARE’s TPP is helping make trick-or-treating safe for every ghoul and goblin.
So, put on your costume, grab your Prudential Center trick-or-treat bag, and prepare for an afternoon of fab-boo-lous fun! Let’s take a look at what you can expect at this year’s PruBoo.
Join us for a favorite Boston tradition that’s sure to become an event your family will attend year after year. In addition to the priceless memories, there will be plenty of photo opps as well 🙂.
Now, there will be a few tricks at this year’s PruBoo. But, don’t worry — the sleight of hand will be in the form of kid-friendly magic shows that are sure to delight. Performances at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. will have every Buzz Lightyear, Elsa, and Elmo completely spellbound.
We’re crafting up some Halloween activities for kiddos of all ages. Among this year’s favorite festivities: face painting and pumpkin decorating (while supplies last). Make sure to hit the pumpkin decorating table early to ensure there’s a jack-o’lantern for your little ones to color, sticker, and otherwise beautify.
And get ready to boo-gie to an interactive children’s concert that’s sure to rival any monster mash (or graveyard smash!). A noon performance by Vanessa and the Jumping Monkeys, sponsored by Bright Horizons, will have everyone on their feet (or paws!).
And, what would any Halloween event be without some trick-or-treating?! Children can go “door to door” at over 50 participating stores and eateries to collect candy, healthy treats, and non-food goodies in support of The Teal Pumpkin Project’s mission. Check the PruBoo map day-of for a listing of participating stores.
While participation in all PruBoo activities is free, attendees are encouraged to use the $5 Prudential Center trick-or-treat bag to collect goodies during the event. All proceeds from the bags will go to our nonprofit partner FARE and the Teal Pumpkin Project initiative.

One of the best parts of PruBoo? Seeing all of the costumes — from cute to clever, spooky to sweet. Witches and ghosts and goblins, oh my! What will you be this year?

The Teal Pumpkin Project is a simple way to make trick-or-treating safer and more inclusive for the one in 13 children living with food allergies, and many others impacted by intolerances and other conditions. Placing a teal pumpkin on your doorstep signals that, in addition to candy, you offer non-food trinkets and treats that are safe for all trick or treaters.
FARE enhances the lives of individuals with food allergies empowering them to lead safe, productive lives with the respect of others through education and advocacy initiatives and improved awareness around healthcare options and treatment.
We can’t wait to scare — we mean, SEE you at this year’s PruBoo. Happy Halloween!
