Make a “right on Hereford, left on Boylston” to find your way to Prudential Center this Boston Marathon season. Situated just one block from the Marathon finish line, the Center is literally in the middle of all the energy and excitement of the world’s oldest and best-known annual marathon!
From observing the runners from 52 stories up to carbo loading and cheersing to your runner pre and post race, check out a few highlights below of the Center’s 70+ shops and eateries as your one stop shop for all your preparatory and celebratory needs.
One of the most well known (and most fun?) traditions of Marathon prep is to carbo load the night before. The Center has a variety of options that will not only satisfy nutritional needs for runners, but also allow friends and family to choose their own culinary adventure too!
One of the easiest ways to load up on those pre-race carbs is with pasta. Make a reservation at one of Eataly’s four full-service restaurants that each offer high-quality, yet affordable regional Italian food with a local twist. La Pizza & La Pasta is our go-to for Napoli-style pizza and artisanal pasta that is handmade daily. Two of our favorite dishes are the Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese and the Margherita “A Ruota 21 Di Carro” – the extra-wide pizza dates back to the late 1500s, when Neapolitan poet Velardiniello described it like “the wheel of a cart”!
The Cheesecake Factory is known for its extensive menu of more than 250 items – there’s no doubt that runners and their cheer squad alike are going to find what they are craving. With 6 Flatbread Pizza options, 13 Glamburgers made with premium Certified Angus Beef, 17 Pastas offerings, and much much more to choose from, The Cheesecake Factory is a fan-favorite for a reason when needing to satisfy a large group with differing palates. And don’t forget the cheesecake! Choose one of the 40 different cheesecake and specialty dessert offerings to save as a post-race treat.
For a quick carbo load pick-me-up, head to Anna’s Taqueria for expertly assembled burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and Mexican bowls made with fresh ingredients, and authentic recipes. Did you know the combination of beans and rice makes a complete protein?! After choosing your vessel of choice – tortilla or bowl – top your rice and beans with additional protein options like classic roasted chicken and steak or the extra-flavorful chicken ranchero and al pastor, plus toppings like pico de gallo, guacamole, jalapenos, and red onions.
Nothing beats the excitement that radiates from cheering on the runners outside our Boylston Street entrance. But where else in the city can you view the race from above? That’s right, at View Boston!
Ascend to the top of Prudential Tower’s 52nd floor for incredible indoor panoramic views of the city and watch runners as they accomplish the final stretch of the 26.2 mile race!
During Marathon weekend, visitors will find a morning coffee station, afternoon Eataly Gelato & Cannoli Cart, and special edition 26.2 View Boston merch available for purchase on the 52nd floor! Additionally, throughout the weekend runners can share who they’re running for on an interactive wall that will be found on the 51st Sip on a cocktail from Stratus while on the 51st floor or pull up a seat at The Beacon to enjoy brunch while viewing the race from the 50th floor.
In honor of the Marathon, View Boston is offering 26.2% off all ticket packages for entrance between 9AM and 11AM. Runners, show your bib for 26.2% all ticket packages plus free souvenir photo.
After completing 26.2 miles, it’s now time to celebrate the incredible feat with relaxation along with some amazing food and sips!
Before heading to your restaurant reservation, stop by Under Armour to hydrate and relax in the store’s recovery lounge. All weekend long also shop the latest UA gear with the options for FREE customization, capture fun photo moments, and more. Experiencing the Boston Brand House’s Marathon festivities is free, but we highly recommend registering online to receive an exclusive 20% off coupon valid for the entire weekend!
Now time to refuel and celebrate!
For prime quality seafood, book a table at Eddie V’s for the finest fresh seafood & prime steaks. Start off your meal with the classic Seafood Tower that showcases Maine lobster, wild gulf shrimp, oysters, and colossal crab, or order The Big Eddie for a tower fit for a marathoner with King Crab, Maine lobsters, tuna poke, Wild Gulf shrimp, and oysters. For the main course, indulge in the Cold Water Lobster (two broiled tails broiled and served with drawn butter) or the 22 ounce Usda Prime Bone-In Ribeye. Complement your selections with a glass of wine or expertly crafted cocktail.
Del Frisco’s is rooted in a rich American tradition – the steakhouse. What better way to finish out one of the US’s most honored sporting events? The ultra-premium steak house provides a distinguished dining experience that sets the tone to enjoy the vast selection of USDA Prime wet and dry-aged steaks (including the 32 ounce Bone-in Wagyu Long Bone Ribeye) and modern takes on fresh seafood (like the restaurant’s signature Del’s Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes). Pair your selected protein with your favorite side dishes, mouth-watering desserts, and selection of seasonal and dessert cocktails.
For a spot slightly more casual, Earl’s Kitchen & Bar serves a diverse, globally-inspired menu in a lively, yet still sophisticated setting. The eclectic menu touches upon various cuisines that will satisfy everyone’s taste buds in the group. Can’t go wrong sharing the Truffle Fries and the Street Corn + Avocado Dip before everyone digs into their choice of sushi and additional seafood, burgers and tacos, pizzas, steaks, chicken, or ribs. The creative cocktail menu also includes refreshing spirit free options to ensure all can toast to the runner (cheersing with water is bad luck)!
