Located in the heart of Boston’s historic Back Bay, the landmark Prudential Center is a 3.6 million SF mixed-use urban center comprised of 3 million SF of office space and 680,000 SF of retail space. The office component of Prudential Center consists of the Prudential Tower, 111 Huntington Avenue, 101 Huntington Avenue, and 888 Boylston. The 52-story Prudential Tower was built in 1965 and is Boston’s second tallest office building. 111 Huntington Avenue, a 36-story Class A office building opened in September 2001. Completed in 1973, the 25-story 101 Huntington Avenue office building serves as headquarters to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. In 2002, the building was re-clad with pink Spanish granite and a decorative cornice giving it distinction in the Boston skyline. In 2016, 888 Boylston was completed and designated Boston’s most sustainable office building with features a rain harvesting system, and solar panels.
Prudential Center, the retail component of the complex, is anchored by Saks Fifth Avenue and is home to over 70 shops and eateries. Major retailers include Aritzia, Canada Goose, Dick’s House of Sport, Eataly Boston, Polo Ralph Lauren, Sephora and Tesla.
